Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to the Domitas iOS app, domitas.app, and related services (together, the “Services”). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these terms and acknowledge the Domitas Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
You represent that you can enter into a binding agreement and that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge. If you use Domitas for another person or organization, you represent that you have authority to do so.
1. The Domitas service
Domitas helps you create and maintain a digital record and AI-powered digital twin of a home. Features may organize home information, analyze content you select, identify possible assets or conditions, answer questions, calculate home intelligence and health, and recommend tasks.
Domitas is an evolving service. Features, scores, recommendations, and available integrations may change as the product improves. We will not materially repurpose previously collected personal information without providing the notice or choice required by law.
2. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity performed through your account. Notify Domitas support if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
Provide only information about a home that you are authorized to manage. Do not share passwords, access keys, financial account credentials, or unnecessary sensitive personal information through home notes, support requests, or AI questions.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of the photos, documents, notes, and other content you add to Domitas. You give Domitas permission to host, copy, process, transmit, and display that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot the Services and fulfill the choices you make within the product.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to upload and use your content. Do not upload unlawful content or content that infringes another person’s privacy, intellectual-property, or other rights.
4. AI-assisted features
AI processing is optional and requires a separate choice in the app. When enabled, Domitas may send a question, relevant home context, a selected photo, or extracted document text to an AI service as described in the Privacy Policy.
AI-generated information can be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Review important extracted details, conditions, calculations, and recommendations before relying on them. Domitas may express uncertainty or ask for additional evidence when the available home information is incomplete.
5. Responsible use
You may not use the Services to violate law or another person’s rights; interfere with security or operation; gain unauthorized access; distribute malicious code; scrape or access the Services through unauthorized automation; misrepresent your identity or authority; or use the Services in a way that could harm Domitas, its providers, or another person.
Domitas and its licensors retain all rights in the Services, including the app, website, software, designs, trademarks, and original content provided by Domitas. These terms do not transfer ownership of the Services to you.
6. Home information is not professional advice
Domitas provides organizational tools and general informational assistance. It is not a substitute for an in-person inspection or advice from a qualified contractor, engineer, electrician, plumber, safety professional, insurer, lawyer, accountant, tax professional, or financial adviser.
Home Health scores, condition observations, expected lifespans, cost information, and suggested tasks are estimates based on available information. They do not guarantee a home’s condition, safety, code compliance, insurability, value, or future performance.
Do not use Domitas for emergencies. If you suspect an immediate threat to people or property—including fire, gas, electrical, structural, water, or environmental danger—leave the affected area when appropriate and contact emergency services or a qualified professional.
7. Third-party services
Some features rely on third-party services or may link to third-party products, contractors, insurers, or other providers. Their services are governed by their own terms and policies. A recommendation, link, sponsorship, or affiliate relationship does not guarantee a provider’s work, price, availability, or suitability.
Domitas will not disclose your private home record to a provider unless you direct us to do so. Review the information and provider before requesting a quote, appointment, purchase, or other transaction.
8. Availability, changes, and termination
We work to keep Domitas available and dependable, but the Services may occasionally be unavailable, delayed, changed, or discontinued. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or permanent availability of a particular feature.
You may stop using Domitas at any time and may permanently delete your account through Profile. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address a material violation of these terms, protect users or the Services, prevent abuse, or comply with law. When practicable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that every error will be corrected.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Domitas will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost savings, lost data, property damage, or decisions made in reliance on the Services. Domitas’s total liability relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Domitas during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or US $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limitations. In those jurisdictions, these provisions apply only to the extent permitted by law.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Domitas changes. We will post the revised terms and update the effective date. If a material change requires additional notice or agreement, we will provide it before the change takes effect as required by law.
